Do I need help?

For individuals with high anxiety, every day can feel like a struggle.

You may feel stressed, overwhelmed, and defeated in multiple areas of your life - like no matter how many times you tell yourself to calm down, you can't seem to find relief.  You may put on a brave face for others, while deep down, you are privately battling intrusive, obsessive thoughts that leave you performing an endless number of mental or overt rituals that make you feel out of control. Perhaps you spend more time than you'd like worrying and find yourself caught in an endless cycle which makes you feel trapped and helpless.

If you are feeling exhausted, ashamed, and are struggling to find enjoyment in your everyday activities, we have good news: Even if you’ve tried therapy in the past - specialized care could make all the difference.

What We Treat

We treat a variety of different phobias, anxiety, and panic disorders along with OCD

OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a common, chronic, and long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts (obsessions) and/or behaviors (compulsions) that he or she feels the urge to repeat over and over.  People with OCD may have symptoms of obsessions, compulsions, or both. These symptoms can interfere with all aspects of life, such as work, school, and personal relationships. (nimh.org)

ANXIETY

People with anxiety disorders display excessive anxiety or worry, most days for at least 6 months, about a number of things such as personal health, work, social interactions, and everyday routine life circumstances. The fear and anxiety can cause significant problems in areas of their life, such as social interactions, school, and work. (nimh.org)

PANIC DISORDER

Panic Disorder is an anxiety disorder characterized by unexpected and repeated episodes of intense fear accompanied by physical symptoms that may include chest pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, or abdominal distress. These episodes occur “out of the blue,” not in conjunction with a known fear or stressor. (nimh.org)

PHOBIAS

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder. It is a strong, irrational fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. There are many specific phobias. Acrophobia is a fear of heights, for example. (mentalhealth.gov)
