Panic attacks can feel really scary. You may feel completely out of control, feel like you’re dying or having a heart attack, and feel completely disconnected from reality. You may experience physical sensations like chest tightening, sweaty palms, dizziness, difficulty breathing or catching your breath, nausea, or hot flashes (among many other symptoms). Panic attacks may be triggered by certain situations or you may feel like they just happen randomly. You may have experienced a panic attack in the past and fear having another one. If you’ve experience multiple panic attacks in your lifetime, you may have something called panic disorder. Panic attacks may make you feel overwhelmed, scared and alone, but we are here for you, ready to help.
